I understand horses...

Buyers trust me for one simple reason: I care.

My goal is to do more than sell you a horse. My aim is to match you, the dedicated rider, with a sound and well-trained companion appropriate to your skills and interests. With horses in every price range and discipline, I have exactly the mount for you.

...and riders.

My Young Rider Development Program starts with the Pony Club before aspiring riders move into Private Lessons. If you are a seasoned or experienced rider looking to refine your riding skills, I have room for you, too!

My Show Team—a group of extraordinary riders with the right combination of skills, dedication, commitment and passion—can be seen on major circuits in Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. For information about Horse Sales, the Pony Club, Private Lessons or the Show Team, contact me today!

Those who know me will tell you I will not sell a horse unless I am convinced you and the horse are a good match. My goal is to create a healthy and lasting relationship for both of you.

My horse development and training system allows me to take horses that show raw talent and maximize their abilities and potential to be champions.

I give my horses a comfortable, safe environment and only the best nutrition to ensure long and healthy lives. I then surround them with exceptional care.

I believe the only time you get top-quality horses is when you surround yourself with top-quality people. My horses are cared for exclusively by John Atack and Linda Berthiaume of the Bellevue Equine Clinic, and award-winning farrier and 2013 Team Canada member, Dan Corkery.

I have horses for sale in a number of different disciplines including hunter jumper, dressage and western pleasure. Check out my current selection. And come back often as there are always new horses available.

My Pony Club offers young riders a safe and supervised introduction to the world of horses. This entry-level program follows Equine Canada’s Equestrian Development Guidelines and is designed for new riders between the ages of 7 and 11. Along with help from my Show Team, I run the program personally to ensure the appropriate focus on fundamentals essential for long-term development.

Learning to ride is just the start. I also teach general animal care, something that instills a sense of both pride and responsibility in my young riders. Those who have natural talent or an internal drive to be the best might get an invitation to continue with Private Lessons and may eventually become members of the Show Team.

Pony Club sessions are offered once a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in July and August, with a demonstration show at the end of each month so riders can show off their new-found skills. The cost is $65 per 90-minute session and participants are expected to commit to four weekly sessions, payable in advance.

Space in this program is limited to six children per session, so contact me now to reserve your child’s spot.

Private Lessons are a natural next step after the Pony Club for aspiring riders who want to qualify for my Show Team. I offer Private Lessons in three disciplines: hunter/jumper, dressage and western pleasure. Private Lessons can also be designed for adult riders returning to the sport as well as casual riders who simply want to improve their riding skills.

I develop a customized lesson plan to match your goals and aspirations, and create a pressure-free and positive learning experience using a variety of schoolmaster horses. All Private Lessons are taught by me with support from my Show Team.

Private Lessons are $60 per session and include 15 minutes for tacking and warm up, a 45-minute Private Lesson and an additional 15-minute cool-down period. Riders are expected to commit to four sessions at a time, payable in advance.

Because space is limited, I recommend you contact me now to reserve your spot.

This is where my most talented and dedicated riders get to show their stuff.

I won’t kid you, though. Joining the Show Team is a commitment, six months at a time, for serious riders and by invitation only. Show Team members have normally taken Private Lessons for at least two years—many of them started in my Pony Club—and typically own their own show horse.

The program runs from March to August, with two lessons per week from March through June and four full days per week for July and August. There are at least three weekend competitions on the AERSO circuit. Show Team members are also expected to share their knowledge with young riders in my Pony Club.

If you visit my farm, you can readily identify my Show Team by their unique Show Team gear. Ask any of them what they think of the experience. I’m sure you’ll hear the dedication and passion in their voices.

Think you can do it? Contact me now to see if you’re ready.

Take one look at the riders on Hannah’s Show Team and you will see the very characteristics that have given Hannah success as both a trainer and an instructor.

Hard work, determination and a lifelong passion for horses.

At 15, Hannah bought her first horse. When she sold it a year later, she realized she was hooked. Training and selling horses would be more than a hobby—she was determined to make it a career.

Working closely with local trainers and coaches, she eventually decided to move from Quebec’s Eastern Townships, first to Toronto and then to Ottawa, where she felt she could create a successful business.

Her years of developing riders and finding much success on both the Trillium and “A” Circuits, gave her the experience and skills she needed to develop her own business on a farm near Greely.

In 2013, she and her partner bought a property in Casselman that includes 16 acres and almost as many horses. The property features a beautiful stream and acres of rolling hills—the perfect setting for horses and riders alike.

This spring (2014), construction will begin on a new outdoor show ring, complete with bleachers. For Hannah, opening up her own horse farm has been a dream come true, one she would like to share with riders in the area for many years to come.

To learn more about Horses by Hannah, and how you might share the dream, contact Hannah now.

My farm is located near Casselman, just 5 minutes from the intersection of Highway 417 and Highway 138, east of Ottawa.

I welcome visitors, but please call ahead so I can give you the time and attention you deserve.
